It keeps fans wanting more while making sure the current arc is interesting, and this continues to pay off greatly as the show progresses.
This season focuses a lot more on the demon lords, Clayman and his army in particular, and it was a good change of pace that resolved many issues brought in in previous arcs. This gets more evident the more the season progresses. The arc is wrapped up nicely in the twelve episodes though, with a satisfying conclusion to all the plot points it tackled.
