While Willis was still watchable enough as McClane, despite seeming more than a little bored by the script, Jai Courtney was quite awful in his turn as John's son Jack, who gets a lot of focus in what seems like an attempt to phase.
Courtney earned many fans for his fun portrayal of Captain Boomerang in David Ayer's 2016 , but his wooden performance leaves fans with a lot to be desired and does A Good Day to Die Hard no favors for a franchise that was already struggling to recapture the magic of the original entry.
